Cloud Falls In District Finals

White Cloud beganSaturday in the District semi-final game against Big Rapids Crossroads and with a sluggish start, trailed 4 – 1.  A 7 run 3rd  put WC in the lead for good en-route to a 14 – 4  6 inning win.  Jordan Bulk had her biggest day at the plate of the season racking up 4 hits with a double and a triple  and 4 RBI’s, Madeleine Seabrook had a bases loaded double and 3 RBI’s while Allison Schulz had 2 hits with a double  and 2 RBI’s. Kara Davis got the win striking out 5.
 In the finals against Holton the girls managed only 2 hits, a double by Hannah Brown and a single by Elexis Plotts and fell by a score of 4 – 1.
 “We were hanging in there thru 3, down only 1 – 0 and  tied it in the top of the 4th, only to have them answer with a run in their half of the inning, and get 2 more in the bottom of the 5th,” said Coach Don Barnhard
“ It was closer than we had been with them throughout the year, but we weren’t playing horseshoes.”
White Cloud finishes the season with an 18-10 mark.
