Carferry Competition and a Plethora of PR’s

Lake Michigan Carferry Invite 4/25/25
The Varsity girls competed in Scottville with 13 other teams in a competitive EQ meet. The girls finished 7/14 with 57 points. Justice Dixon was the fastest female there earning the prestigious captain’s hat with the 1st place finish in the 100 M and PR (13.01). Kiah Rogers took home a 6th place medal in the 200 M. Natalie Dyke grabbed the 8th place medal in the 400 M. Keira Maike placed 4th in the 800. Courtney Coon was 8th in the 100 H and 7th in the 300 H. All the relay teams earned points and medals. The 4x100 team of Gabriella Dakin, Kiah Rogers, Brooklyn Holbrook and Justice Dixon was 3rd overall while the 4x200 took 2nd place (Natalie Dyke, Kiah Rogers, Andi Vincent, Justice Dixon). The 4x400 team took the 5th place medal (Keira Maike, Courtney Coon, Natalie Dyke, Justice Dixon). The 4x 800 was 5th overall as well (Keira Maike, Alivia Graham, Brooklyn Foondle, Natalie Dyke). Payten Bird was 4th in the discus. Tehyah Nickoloff took an 8th place medal in the high jump. Courtney Coon was 3rd in the pole vault and Isabella Shockley took 8th place. Amazing work!
Double Dual 4/29/25
The Varsity Girls had 32 PR’s in last night’s double duel with Kent City and Central Montcalm. White Cloud defeated Kent City 76-61 and lost to Central 65-71. The girls are 2-1 in the league.
Justice Dixon took first in the 100 M (13.1) followed by Kiah Rogers’ 2nd place PR (13.7).  Kiah was also 1st in the 200 M with a PR (28.4). Gabriella Dakin was 3rd in the 200 (30.4) and 1st in the long jump (13’11). Keira Maike took 1st in the 400 with a PR (1:06), 3rd in the 800 with another PR (2:40) Natalie Dyke PR’d in the 800 (3:01), took 3rd in the 1600 with another PR (6:46).
Courtney Coon, Payten Bird and Caedance Traynor swept the100 H against Kent City. Courtney PR time of 18.07 1st place, Payten Bird 19.5 PR was 2nd and Caedy ran a 19.7. Courtney and Caedy took 1st and 2nd respectively in the 300 H.  Courtney PR (52.3) took 1st overall. Izzy Shockley also ran a PR (1:06). Brooklyn Foondle was 3rd in the 3200.
 The 4x100 took 1st place with Gabriella Dakin, Kiah Rogers, Brooklyn Holbrook and Justice Dixon. (53.7) The 4x200 also took 1st (Gabriella, Kiah, Caedy, Justice). The 4x400 team ran a spectacular race and PR time 4:29. Courtney, Keira, Natalie and Justice took 1st place.
Payten Bird was 3rd in the shot put with a PR (27’8) and 1st in the discus with a PR (108’3) which is currently ranked first in our Region. Shaylia Richardson took 2nd in the discus with PR (76’5).
Keira Maike was 2nd in the high jump PR (4’4). Brooklyn Holbrook was 3rd PR (4’2). Courtney Coon dominated the pole vault with a PR (9’0) 1st place - just 3 inches from the school record. Izzy Shockley took 2nd place PR (7’6)
