Baseball: Packers Swat Hornets In Sweep, Panthers Split

Fremont 11-3 Central Montcalm 0-1
Gabe VanVleet tossed another gem shutting down the Hornets and striking out 11 as his teammates provided more than enough cushion to cruise to a 5 inning mercy win in the opener.
Michael Baden collected a pair of hits for the Packers
In the nightcap Brendan Maka tossed a 3 hitter and drove in a run for good measure in the three run 3rd that gave the Packers the lead they needed. Joey DeLong collected a pair of hits including an RBI single to pace the Packer offense.

Hesperia 9-0 Lakeview 7-15
Hesperia scored 3 runs in the 6th inning to take the lead.
Travis Kurtz went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI while Hunter Billman also rapped 3 hits driving in a pair of teammates. Alex Sayer plated a pair as well.
Kohen Heckman went the first 3 for the Panthers and Sam Gager finished the final four not allowing a hit.
In the second game defensive miscues spelled trouble for the visitors and the Wildcat bats took advantage pounding out 10 hits in securing the 3 inning mercy win 
Hunter Billman doubled for the Panthers who are now 3-5 with a Friday contest with Holton on Friday.
