![]() Anna Elene Brooks, age 85 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home in White Cloud. Anna was born on November 20, 1934 in White Cloud to Riley William and Ingle Kathryn (Ritter) Allers and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1954. Anna later graduated from Betty White Cosmetology School in Muskegon and moved back to White Cloud where she met and later married Everett Brooks on November 10, 1956 in White Cloud. Everett preceded her in death on April 7, 2004. Anna has been a lifelong resident of the area where she had been a caregiver for the elderly and those that needed assistance during an illness or declining health. Anna loved to sing and shared her love of singing with those she was caring for. Anna enjoyed attending various churches in the area, was devoted to her weekly Bible Study Group and attending gospel singing jamborees. She enjoyed word search puzzles and meeting up with the Golden Girls at Maike’s Bakery in White Cloud. Anna also had been a housekeeper for various individuals in White Cloud and had been the janitor at the White Cloud Post Office for several years. Anna is survived by her children, Allen Brooks of Sapphire, North Carolina; Jan Smith of White Cloud; Marian Bird of Irons; Ed Brooks of White Cloud; Ilene (Dana Bozeman) Stout of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Tony (Courtney) Brooks; Chelsea Smith; Emma Mae Smith; Leonard (Christy) Smith; Jackie (Kenny) Raymond; Krista (Mike) Doss; Andrea (Kyle) Alger; Rebecca (Joel) Nichols; Rachel (Jason) Eager; several great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers; Nathlie May (Alfred) Conkright of Grand Rapids; Ingle Rozella (Ronald) Finkler of Fremont and Arizona; Ethel Wilcome of Cedar Springs; Clayton Faye (Carol) Allers of Grant; Robert Michael (Kay) Allers of White Cloud; Thomas Arthur Allers of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Culver, her great granddaughter, Lilliann Faye Culver Broyles; her brothers, William Nathan Allers; John Richard Allers; Riley Leroy Allers; special friend, Dolly Voss; and by her son-in-law, Robert Stout. TENTATIVE - VISITATION : Friday, July 24, 2020 from 10-11am at the New Community Church in Newaygo 409 Mundy Ave, Newaygo, MI 49337 with MEMORIAL SERVICES at 11am at the church. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Spectrum Health Foundation for the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center 4499 220th Ave Reed City, MI 49677. So sorry to hear about Anna. I always was fond of her. When we were in grade school her and Natalie taught me how to roller-skate. My prayers are with you and the family
