![]() New Store Coming To Familiar Site By Ken DeLaat It’s Leppink's. After months of social media speculation Newaygonians and shoppers from the surrounding area can be rest easy in the knowledge of who will be filling the shelves of the now empty grocery store at River Valley Center. Leppink’s a family owned company with nearly 90 years in the grocery business will be the new owners of the complex and... ...by mid-June should be opening the doors of the latest addition to their family of stores.
Area residents have spent the months since Plumb’s ceased Newaygo operations wondering (a) if someone was coming in, (b) who they might be and (c) when they might be opening. Now it appears there will indeed be a new grocer, and that it will be Leppink’s a company known throughout mid and west Michigan for being customer oriented and competitively priced. And the when? Right around the summer solstice. Ah yes, prime grilling season. Good timing Leppink’s. N3 will continue to share details about our new and most welcome neighbor's plans as they become available.
