NCMH Opens Fremont Facility By Marianne Boerigter Newaygo County Mental Health held an open house for an additional new service facility in Fremont on Wednesday, August 24. Showcasing the renovations of the former Fremont Public School Administration Building on Pine Street and making the facility service friendly for clients and staff, the open house provided an opportunity for... ...the public and staff from other organizations to view the new site.
Among those welcoming guests to the open house were Cindy Ingersoll, Director of Adult Services; Denise Russo Starback, Director of Youth and Family Services; Kathy Broome, Board Member – NCMH; and Mike Geoghan, Executive Director – NCMH (pictured). With small group meeting rooms, autism and behavioral testing areas, counseling offices, youth services areas, and a welcoming lobby, the building is set to help facilitate the services that Newaygo County Mental Health provides. As an organization, Newaygo County Mental Health works to become partners in the provision of services with other agencies and to provide people rapid access to needed services. With their main office continuing in White Cloud, the additional service facility and proximity to Spectrum Health/Gerber Memorial Hospital will enhance the ability of NCMH to meet the needs of Newaygo County residents.
