MRWA Features Tour Of Tamarack Creek The folks from Muskegon River Watershed Assembly, a fine group of citizens with a desire to preserve and protect the mighty stream that flows through our area and its connecting waters are following up the successful Protecting Our Waters workshop held last month with a tour of Tamarack Creek a crucial sub-basin of the Muskegon. The event on Monday, September 12th, begins with a tour at Minnie Farmer Park in Howard City where folks will gather at 5pm to see and... ...hear about restoration efforts and the changes that have resulted from these initiatives.
Next, the group will meet at Artman Park at 530pm where MRWA members will point out the improvements derived from collaborative efforts between the organization, the Montcalm Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. At 6pm refreshments will be served at Whitefish Lake Golf Club. An update on additional plans for Tamarack Creek and activities aimed at preserving protecting and restoring the Muskegon River will be presented. You can attend any or all segments of this enlightening journey and there will be social time and prize drawings following the program. MRWA kindly requests you RSVP by calling 231-591-2334, or via email to [email protected] Comments are closed.
