![]() Melissa Dykman has announced her candidacy for Newaygo County Probate Court Judge. She is seeking to succeed Judge Graydon Dimkoff upon his retirement this year. A lifelong resident of Newaygo County, Melissa has spent the past 18 years practicing law in the area. After graduating from Aquinas College she attended Cooley Law School receiving her Juris Doctorate in 1999. During her years of practice Melissa has litigated many cases before the Probate Court and her experience working in family law litigation, adoption proceedings, probate litigation, as well as with abuse and neglect cases has required the patience, open mindedness, compassion and common sense essential to the seat of Probate Judge. “I would be honored to serve the citizens of our county as Probate Court Judge, If elected my courtroom will be focused on delivering fair and impartial decisions while helping people navigate what can often be a complex system.” Melissa and her husband Eric Dykman are the parents of Zack, Jake and Kendra.
