![]() Newaygo County RESA Academically Talented Youth Program (ATYP) Enrollment Now Open NC RESA’s Academically Talented Youth Program (ATYP) is a specialized and accelerated program for middle school students funded in part by Fremont Area Community Foundation. ATYP offers classes in two disciplines: English Language Arts and Math. Successful completion in either of these two-year programs can result in students receiving up to three high school credits. Each ATYP class meets once a week during regular school hours for four hours of instruction and classroom activities. Class size is kept small to maximize the learning process. As a result, students will be prepared to take upper-level courses during their first year of high school. The application requires short essay responses, teacher recommendations, and a standardized assessment score. The application form and additional information can be found at www.ncresa.org/atyp. The deadline for applications is June 1, 2017
