More to follow but here’s a taste of the upcoming seasonal offerings
By Ken DeLaat In the Christmas Spirit yet? Of course not. We’re barely past Halloween and there’s Turkey Day looming in a few short weeks. But hey, 105.7 has launched their cavalcade of carols where you can hear Mariah Carey belting out her song every hour or so and somewhere near 4,367 versions of Silent Night for the next 7 weeks. And if you are a Hallmark fan, as Lifetime Spousal Companion Lil most definitely is, they will be running their cache of Christmas movies 24/7, thousands of movies centered on approximately 7-8 plot lines (sorry Lil. Couldn’t stop myself). Hallmark will be the channel du jour at N3 World Headquarters until they shift to winter romances, Valentines Day flix, etc., etc. And while we will keep you updated as to the holiday goings on we want to deliver some highlights coming up you may not want to miss. Things are always busy but this coming season is Busy 2.0 so here are a few things to mark on your calendar. Shopping The Christmas Walk in Newaygo showcases local businesses in the downtown area and will be held December 6th this year. A week later Dec 13, Fremont hosts the Santa Stroll welcoming the Big Guy to town with their always epic Illuminated Parade and shopping deals downtown. Entertainment Many fans of the nearly world famous Braunschweiger Blues Band kick off their holiday reveling by attending what has become an annual concert at the Dogwood. It’s once again on Thanksgiving Saturday. If you don’t have your ticket you don’t have a table but there are still tickets available and who needs a table when we’re reveling The Dogwood has two Christmas shows on tap. On Friday December 13th The Founding: Celtic Christmas comes to town and two days later on Sunday John Barry returns with his 28th Christmas Show. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights." –Maya Angelou
