Slip & Slide Course No Problem As 11 Cloud Runners Post Best Times

The White Cloud Cross Country teams competed at Hubbardston, MI in the Don Baese Invitational on Saturday and faced stiff competition from several State-ranked teams. After several days of rain, the course was waterlogged and slippery. Despite the conditions, the Indians posted 11 season and personal best times.

...Aramis LaClair (19:19), Jared Elder (20:11), Cameron Karnes (21:32), Conner Dakin (22:34), Conner LaClair (25:23), and Tommy Feldpausch (26:13 – a 1:37 PR.) Matt Reynolds competed in the JV race and also posted a personal best 29:26, beating his previous best by 2:56.
The girls finished 7th out of 17 teams in their division. The Lady Indians were led by Ella Bowman in 8th place (21:14 – a 9 second PR), Haley Foster (22:28 – a 42 second PR), Hannah Brown (23:33 – a 26 second PR), Sariena Maka (24:12 – a 26 second PR), Kayla Pasch (25:06), Lyndsey Chaffee (27:12), and Liz Rubio (27:14 – a 19 second PR.) Both Ella and Haley earned medals for their performances.
The girls team was also able to field a scoring JV team for the first time in White Cloud Cross Country history. Elizabeth Feldpausch was our top runner with a personal best performance of 26:30, taking 1:40 off her time. Alek Taylor also finished with an improvement of 2:23 (26:53), Stephanie Krizov, back from injury and illness finished 3:08 faster (29:12), and Jordan Bulk (32:18) and Kenzie Keith (42:11) both finished their first 5K races this year allowing the team to have 5 scoring runners.
