Host Tigers Take Invitational Title

The Grant Netmen took first place in each of the 8 flights to win their invitational tournament with 46 points. Fremont came in second followed by Kenowa Hills and Kelloggsville.
The invite was delayed with wet courts almost 2 hours, but the teams were patient and were rewarded with nice weather for the rest of the day.

...drop single game in route to the championship defeating the Fremont team of Tyler Schubert and Kyler Roszell in the finals. Top doubles team of the tournament was Grant's Nick Horrisberger and Mason Ferguson who got past Fremont in a tough first match and then didn't drop a game for their next two matches. David Jaimes and Christian Ledezma won their finals match over the Packer duo of Nathan Page and Ian Paige.
Top player of the tournament was freshman Karlton Zerlaut who defeated Kenowa Hills senior Ryan TenBrink 7-3 in a first set tiebreaker, before closing out the 2nd set without dropping a game. Ben Dubbink won the 4 singles flight with a 4-2 4-1 win over Kelloggsville. Shayne Gardner and Dominick Brock both won their singles matches over competitors from Kenowa Hills.
The Tigers head to Ludington on Tuesday to face the Orioles.
